Event Details

Come sift for fossils at the library! We have *overburden from the Aurora Fossil Museum (North Carolina) which contains fossils from the Eocene period: 55-34 Million Years Ago! The shoreline at this time was west of Raleigh.

Find bivalves, gastropods, corals, fish bones, shark teeth and vertebrae. 

We have sifters and collection bags! Come see what you can find and identify. Take home some really old treasures.
